NCR (National Capital Region)

The National Capital Region, or called as Metro Manila, is the most populous of the twelve defined metropolitan areas in the Philippines and the 11th most populous in the world. As of the 2010 census, it had a population of 11,855,975, comprising 13% of the national population.

The region is the political, economic, social, cultural, and educational center of the Philippines. As proclaimed by Presidential Decree No. 940, Metro Manila as a whole is the Philippines’ seat of government while the City of Manila is the capital.

The cities that comprise the NCR Region are:

Makati City
Malabon City
Mandaluyong City
Manila City
Marikina City
Muntinlupa City
Navotas City
Parañaque City
Pasay City
Pasig City
Quezon City

Region 1 (Ilocos Region) - The region is composed of four provinces, namely: Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Pangasinan. Its regional center is San Fernando City, La Union.

The cities that make up Ilocos Region are:

Candon City
Vigan City
San Fernando City
Alaminos City
Dagupan City
San Carlos City
Urdaneta City



Region 2 (Cagayan Valley)

The Cagayan Valley is the largest region in the Philippines with regards to the land area. It is composed of five provinces: Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino. Most of the region lies in a large valley in northeastern Luzon, between the Cordilleras and the Sierra Madre mountain ranges. The Cagayan River, the country’s longest, runs through its center and flows out to Luzon Strait in the north, in the town of Aparri, Cagayan. The Babuyan and Batanes island groups that lie in the Luzon Strait belong to the region.

Here are the cities in Cagayan Valley region (Region 2):

Region 3 (Central Luzon)

Central Luzon or known as Region 3, was created to organize the 7 provinces of the vast central plain of the island of Luzon (the largest island), for administrative convinience. The region contains the largest in the country and produces most of the country’s rice supply, earning itself the nickname “Rice Granary of the Philippines”. Its provinces are Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, and Zambales.

The cities that make up and contribute to Central Luzon’s economy are:

4. San Jose del Monte City

5. Cabanatuan City

6. Gapan City

ECS300 OPEN UNIVERSITY SYSTEM BOARD, exists with the mission to:

1. Facilitate the online formation of volunteer organizing teams and local action units of HIYAS PINOY - Nationwide K-12 Education Conference and Workshop of ECS300 OPEN UNIVERSITY SYSTEM - The organization of accredited schools, colleges, and universities network of Global Frontiers Institute.

2. Formalize the activation of academic peer groups, professional associations, and community organizations for the development of programs, products, and services for excellence in education and community development.

3. Provide technical support, financial assistance, and scholarship opportunities for qualified volunteers and scholarship builders for the establishment of Neighborhood Education Centers and Community Libraries for the advancement GEM7K - The Global Education Movement of Project TAPACAN - The Threefold Action Program Against Cigarettes, Alcohol, and Narcotics.
